My Story

My name is Samantha Conway and I am the owner of Clever Hawk Branding. Since I was little, I have loved taking something with potential and making it amazing. I have a knack for creativity, and a passion for helping people. This was the driving force behind my decision to start Clever Hawk.

After working in corporate America, I found that my desire to interact with different people and brands was being stifled, so I dared to dream, and now that dream is a reality. I bring with me many years of experience, a few degrees, a few certifications, and lots of lessons learned the hard way - to help ambitious individuals let their brands soar!

I earned my Bachelors in Marketing and Event Planning from George Mason University. (Go Patriots!) After graduation I began my career as a Marketing Manager for a small technology start-up where I learned the subtle art of wearing many hats. I later went on to join a large financial services firm, during which time I went back to school part time and earned my MBA in Marketing from the University of Delaware.

Next I was introduced to the opportunity that truly changed my life and taught me more then I ever thought possible, when I joined an accounting firm. (I know accounting sounds lame for someone in marketing but hear me out!) I started as a Marketing and Events Manager, serving as the entire team for those two departments. I spent almost the next decade growing my team, my skills, and the company into a multi-million dollar national brand.

Throughout my career I have learned about analytics, website, UX, graphic design, social media, public relations, video, recruiting, sales, and growing a brand fast and efficiently. I did everything from building a website from scratch on Christmas Eve after the old one crashed, to project managing an annual company retreat that brought over 1,000 20-somethings to Las Vegas for a week.

When I am not nose deep in an Adobe program, I spend my free time with my amazing husband and two step daughters at our home in Delaware. I love the beach, reading, taking barre classes, watching football, taco Tuesdays, and a really good laugh!

The more you use, the more you have!”
